20 years of shredding
Twenty years of shredding is a long time. Twenty years ago in snowboarding was a different world. To celebrate it’s 20th anniversary, the MMSC asked us to do a revise of their logo.
Twenty Years ago:
Snowboarding wasn’t in the Olympics.
If you met someone who else rode, they were automatically your friend.
Even in Big Bear, snowboarders were outnumbered by skiers 10-1.
Parks didn’t exist and if you were lucky enough to have a halfpipe nearby, it looked more like a skate ditch than a vert ramp.
There were no Mack Dawg movies to watch and get excited about riding.
Rodeos were what cowboys went to and corkscrews were for wine.
Shaun White was 3, Peter Line and Terje were just kids riding their local mountains and Damian Sanders in all his neon wearing hardbooted glory was the big name pro.
Hell, most of us at Valhalla didn’t even ride yet. Living in SoCal, we could only dream of riding until we could drive ourselves up to the mountains in the next couple years.
Twenty years is a long time. Congratulations to MMSC, we’re proud to have helped celebrate your 20th year.
